Model selection in Conductor

CC Router manages its own model selection logic and provider routing.
  • leave agentConfig.model unset to let CC Router pick the optimal model per prompt
  • add an explicit override only if you need to pin a specific model for reproducibility
  • prefer per-repo defaults over per-task model switching so review history stays attributable

Why teams pick CC Router

  • intelligent multi-model routing without manual switching
  • keeps the same Conductor orchestration surface
  • useful when different tasks benefit from different model strengths
