# Repositories

> Map each workspace to the correct repo root, branch, board path, and source-control metadata.

Repository accuracy matters because nearly every downstream feature depends on it.

## Fields worth getting right

* repository root path
* default branch
* markdown board path
* GitHub slug
* dev server command

## The most common mistake

Do not point a workspace at the markdown file instead of the repository root. That breaks assumptions across board watching, worktrees, pull requests, and config synchronization.
