# Remote Projects

> Keep remote paths, editor deep links, and SSH-aware development flows accurate when the code is not on the local laptop.

Remote development changes path assumptions more than it changes the product model.

## Keep the model the same

Conductor should still run close to the code it orchestrates. The added complexity is in access and path mapping, not in moving the control plane to SaaS.
