# Deploy with Docker Compose

> Run Conductor on a server or shared machine with a repeatable Compose-based deployment while preserving repo-aware runtime behavior.

Docker helps when a team wants a controlled host without turning Conductor into a hosted SaaS dependency.

## What the deployment needs

* access to repositories or mounted workspaces
* agent binaries inside the runtime environment
* correct environment variables
* a stable way for the browser to reach the runtime

## The tradeoff

You gain repeatable startup and easier server placement, but you still need to think clearly about repo access, workspace mounts, and secret handling.
