# Remote Access

> Pair a device once, then keep using Conductor from the browser.

## Remote access in plain language

Conductor lets you work from the browser while your paired device does the execution.

The browser becomes the control surface. Your machine stays the runtime.

## How it works

1. Open the app
2. Sign in
3. Pair your laptop or workstation
4. Use Conductor from the browser from then on

## What stays on your machine

Your paired device remains responsible for:

* execution
* local runtime behavior
* the actual machine context you are using

## What the web app gives you

The portal gives you:

* a clean place to start
* a browser dashboard
* a consistent entry point from anywhere

## Best path for users

Use the production portal:

[Open Conductor App](https://app.conductross.com)

Then connect a device once and keep going from there.

## Keep it simple

If you are unsure which setup path to use, choose the portal-first path.

The portal is the canonical start point.
