# Getting Started

> Open the app, connect a device, and start using Conductor from the browser.

## Start here

The main entry point is the production portal:

[Open Conductor App](https://app.conductross.com)

For most users, the path is simple:

1. Open the app in the browser
2. Sign in
3. Connect the device you want Conductor to use
4. Keep working from the web while execution stays on that machine

## What Conductor does

Conductor gives you a browser dashboard for coding work, but the actual execution stays on your paired device.

That means:

* you can move between browsers and machines more easily
* your paired laptop or workstation stays the execution target
* you do not need to keep re-pairing every session

## Recommended setup

Use the app first.

* Open the portal
* Connect your device once
* Return to the same portal whenever you want to continue

## Advanced paths

Manual install commands and lower-level runtime paths still exist, but they are fallback tools for debugging and advanced setup.

For normal use, start in the portal.
